Avalon House
for Rosevear Architects
A contemporary, minimal house in a hillside with views across bushland out to sea. The steep site posed geotechnical and hydraulic challenges. The cantilevered balcony required a creative construction solution. Finished include off-form concrete entry stairs, a shadowclad exterior and a customised aluminium sheet awning which frames the window and door openings. The interiors are light and bright, with pale blackbutt flooring and an open staircase and balustrade custom made by Blue Edge.
